Secondary School

St. Augustine Preparatory School offers students in grades 9 to 12 a challenging college-preparatory program that fulfills the requirements of highly selective universities in the U.S. and around the world. Graduation requirements include 4 years of Language Arts, 4 years of Mathematics, 4 years of Social Studies, 3 years of Science and 4 years of Spanish.

 

Throughout the four years of high school, students must also take Religion and take one course of Philosophy, Sociology, Economics and Nicaraguan Government. St. Augustine offers Honors and Advanced Placement courses in Mathematics, English Literature, Spanish Literature, Biology, Calculus and European History, among others. The school has a strong AP track record; the majority of our AP students received passing tests scores making them eligible to receive college credit.

Students from 7th grade on may take German or French as a third language. The school has two full time teachers to fill the needs of our Foreign Language Program.
